Project Overview:

First-in-India VMS deployment at a 765kV EHV switchyard for POWERGRID, in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh.

Project Scope:

Design and integration of a Video Management System (VMS) with CCTV coverage across an 800kV EHV switchyard.

Engineering Challenge:

765kV switchyards involve extreme electromagnetic interference, strict safety clearances, and zero tolerance for surveillance downtime, ruling out standard commercial CCTV/VMS deployments.

Solution:

Sam Infotech engineered and commissioned a VMS-integrated CCTV system specifically hardened for EHV switchyard conditions, coordinating installation around live high-voltage equipment and safety protocols.

Outcome:

The first VMS installation of its kind at a 765kV switchyard in India, since referenced internally as a template for subsequent POWERGRID surveillance projects.
